The project envisions the development of a continuous cycling and jogging track along the entirety of Sharjah’s waterfront. This project is the first step of a multi-phased integrated cycling and jogging network of paths which will eventually cover the entire emirate which will provide the infrastructure for alternative types of healthy transportation for residents and visitors.
The SUPC has conducted comprehensive engineering and design studies, in collaboration with an international consultancy firm, to identify the optimal cycling and jogging paths which will most accessible to the public. The project’s first phase encompasses the area located around the Central Souq and Corniche (Khalid Lagoon).
