This project aims to improve the efficiency and capacity of sewage treatment plants in the emirate to better cope with current and future needs, as well as the expected population growth and urban expansion. The works will include renovation of the main sanitary sewer system in the emirate to considerably improve its efficiency, expansion of the main sewage treatment plant in Sharjah and the establishment of additional drainage points to radically solve the problem of rainwater runoff in many key areas in the emirate of Sharjah.
