Internet users in the UAE and across the world can now browse the Emirate of Sharjah virtually, roaming online through its streets.
The Sharjah Urban Planning Council has announced that Google has completed the image capturing of districts, streets, monuments and landmarks which will allow users to explore Sharjah through high-resolution 360 degree panoramic imagery.
It has been successful in cities all over the world, making it easier for locals to find their way around and for businesses to attract customers. Users can check out a restaurant or hotel before arriving and arrange meeting points. House hunters can save time by exploring properties and looking around the surrounding area.
The new service is also useful for field research and studies. It will highlight existing and future projects in the Emirate, building knowledge and awareness of Sharjah’s increased offering.
